Sessions live in a workspace, not on one machine. Anyone with access can attach, review, and approve.
Scoped access
Per-member permissions on workspaces and sessions, so contractors and full-time engineers do not get the same surface.
Encrypted by default
Group session content is encrypted in transit and at rest, using MLS for multi-party key agreement. Choose escrow custody for recoverable accounts, or end-to-end so only your devices hold the key.
Self-hostable
Run the server inside your own perimeter when code cannot cross a boundary.
Vendor-neutral
Teams rarely standardise on one agent, and the leader changes yearly. Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, Grok, opencode and Pi all run through the same wrapper, so switching does not mean re-tooling access.
One bill
One subscription covers the organisation. Model access stays on your existing agent subscriptions.

Consortium has a free tier, a paid tier for daily agent work, and per-organisation pricing for teams that need shared workspaces and scoped access. Self-hosting is quoted separately for teams that need the server inside their own perimeter.

How do teams share access to a coding agent session?
Sessions belong to an organisation workspace rather than to one laptop. Members with access can attach to a running session, review what the agent has done, and approve or stop it, without needing shell access to the machine the agent runs on.
Can we run Consortium on our own infrastructure?
Yes. The server can be self-hosted so no session data transits hardware you do not control. This is usually the deciding factor for teams whose code cannot leave a defined boundary. Contact licensing@consortium.dev for commercial self-hosting terms.
What does Consortium cost for a team?
Consortium has a free tier and a Pro tier at $50 per month; organisation pricing is quoted per team. All of them require your own subscription or API key for whichever agents you run — Consortium does not resell model access.
