Pricing & credits
Consortium has two billing planes:
- Managed inference — you use Consortium’s provider access, metered through a prepaid credit wallet.
- BYOK — your own provider keys or subscriptions. BYOK traffic goes directly from your machine to the vendor and is never metered or marked up by Consortium. BYOK requires a paid plan.
| Free | Pro | Pro Team | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | $0 | $20 / month | $50 / month (2 seats included, +$10 per extra seat) |
| Who it’s for | Trying Consortium | Individual daily use | Teams and shared organizations |
Base plans include no bundled credits — you add credits separately (below). For the full capability comparison, see Free vs Pro.
There are no free trials; paid plans bill immediately.
Credits
Section titled “Credits”Managed inference is charged per token at the underlying provider rate plus a flat 20% platform fee. Input, output, and cache tokens are each billed at their own rate — billed input tokens exclude cached tokens, so cache hits are never double-charged.
Ways to add credits:
| Method | Range | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| One-time top-up packs | $10 – $1,000 | Larger packs include bonus credits (e.g. $100 → $115, $1,000 → $1,250) |
| Recurring monthly packs | $10 – $1,000 | 1:1, billed with your subscription |
| Custom recurring amount | $1 – $10,000 / month | Whole dollars |
The minimum one-time top-up is $10. Auto-top-up exists and is off by default.
Spending caps
Section titled “Spending caps”Every account has a spending cap enforced at the proxy:
- Free: fixed at $5 — not raisable.
- Pro: configurable, up to the plan’s maximum.
- When a cap is hit, requests fail cleanly with a quota error; raise the cap or top up to resume.
Free tier limits
Section titled “Free tier limits”Free accounts can use the free managed models (see Supported models) within a rolling window of 250,000 tokens per 4 hours, and are limited to 3 concurrent sessions, 3 machines, 1 project, and 500 MB of Drive storage.
Where to see usage
Section titled “Where to see usage”In the app: Settings → Usage (per-model breakdown, invoices) and the
wallet balance in Settings → Billing. Programmatically:
GET /external/v1/usage with a usage:read token.
